Lead Coach Role
Our Lead Coaches lead multiskills sessions for children aged 2-7 following the ICanPlaySport programme by:
- Directing the assistant coaches supporting the session to ensure efficient, high quality professional coaching.
- Inspiring, entertaining, supporting and challenging children and liaising with parents/carers to ensure their children enjoy their sessions.
- Completing administration tasks relating to the smooth running of the sessions.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of coaching/working with young children.
- Level 2 coaching award in at least one of our key sports (football, hockey, tennis, badminton, basketball, cricket, rugby)
- Own transport / full driving licence required to transport equipment.
- Friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic and 100% reliable.
- Be able to demonstrate understanding of skills in a range of sports.
Desirable:
- 1st4Sport Level 2 Multiskills Qualification or BSc/BA in Sports Coaching or similar.
- Up-to-date 1st aid qualification.
Successful applicants must provide an enhanced DBS check.
Assistant Coach Role
Our Assistant Coaches:
- Assist in the delivery of multiskills coaching sessions to children aged 2-7.
- They will inspire, entertain, support and challenge children and work under the direction of a lead coach.
Essential Skills:
- Level 1 coaching qualification in at least one of our key sports (football, hockey, badminton, basketball, tennis, cricket, rugby).
- Friendly, confident, outgoing, 100% reliable.
- Great verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
- Level 2 coaching qualification in one of our key sports.
- Experience working with 2-7 year olds.
- Up to date 1st aid qualification.
